Wairarapa Wetlands

This was a research project for the School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences at Victoria University of Wellington. The project looked into reproducing the Wairarapa Wetlands in virtual reality as part of a conservation project. Players could fly around the region visualising the geographical data of the area, then zoom into areas of interest where they could see a 360-degree video accompanied by a voice-over describing the landmark.

Technical Implementations

I was brought onto the project for a few months to improve an existing codebase. Development was done in Unreal Engine for Oculus Quest headsets.
